A total of 721 beachgoers in Dubai was slapped with fines for violating the preventive measures set by the local authorities to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
These violations were issued from March until September 20 this year.
Col. Saeed Al Madhani, acting director of Dubai Ports Police Station, said that they will not tolerate the flouting of anti-Covidmeasures and will not think twice to deter the violators.
The police force is using various ways to monitor beaches, including patrolling on bicycles, motorcycles, boats, and drones to ensure the safety of the public.
