Federal government workers in the UAE will have a nine-day Eid break, authorities have announced.
The break will be from Saturday, April 30, until Friday, May 6. When combined with the Saturday to Sunday weekend, it would be a nine-day break for federal government staff.
As per astronomical predictions, Eid Al Fitr will fall on May 2.
Normally, the government of the UAE gives five-day break for the celebration. However, late last night, April 21, the UAE Cabinet announced the decision to add two more days to the break for federal government entities.
