The Emirate of Abu Dhabi has just launched the National Sterilization Program—which means that between midnights and 5AM, the movements of traffic and the public will be restricted and there will be no transportation services during these hours starting from Monday, July 19.
In an announcement made recently by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, the public was told to stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out, or to get essential supplies, such as food and medicine during the designated hours for the sterilization program.
According to the agency, this is being done ‘as part of efforts to protect public health and prevent the spread of Covid-19.’
Movement permit is needed if one needs to go outside while the sterilization takes place. The permit can be requested at http://www.adpolice.gov.ae.
