One of the best annual meteor showers is taking place tonight and UAE stargazers can definitely witness it from the night of January 3 until the dawn of January 4.
The Quadrantids meteor shower, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the phenomenon is considered to be one of the best annual meteor showers.
The peak period of the meteor shower tonight will only peak for a few hours, unlike other meteor showers that tend to stay at their peak for about two days.
NASA said that during its peak, stargazers can witness 60 to 120 meteors per hour.
