The authorities in the UAE have been reminding motorists not to use mobile devices while driving as it may cause traffic accidents.
In footage shared by the Traffic Media Branch, a motorist in Sharjah was seen driving a Honda Accord on Safeer Mall Road while using his phone, resulting in losing control of the steering wheel, climbing on to the pavement and crashes into the radar.
The front car of his car was damaged so as the radar.
The driver was fined AED800 in addition to four black points for using a mobile phone while driving. He is also going to shoulder the cost of the damages to public property.
