Dubai Basketball made an impressive start to their ABA League journey, securing a dramatic 86-84 victory against defending champions Crvena Zvezda at a sold-out Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday night. The home crowd, filled with fans from all walks of life, witnessed the UAE's first team in the European league, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the season opener.

Although Crvena Zvezda struck first, Dubai Basketball quickly took control, finishing the first quarter with a 25-16 lead. Despite a strong second-half comeback from the Serbian team, key performances by Nate Mason, Awudu Abass, and team captain Klemen Prepelic helped seal the win.

Head Coach Jurica Golemac praised his players and the fans, describing the victory as a "dream come true." The event also saw the debut of the team’s mascot, Faiz the Falcon, and an exciting half-time show by Norwegian dance group Quick Style. Dubai Basketball's next challenge is an away game against Slovenia’s Cedevita Olimpija next weekend.
