Dubai Exempts Passengers Arriving From These Countries From Taking Covid-19 Test

All passengers arriving from GCC countries are now exempted from the mandatory requirement of doing the pre-flight Covid-19 test, Gulf News reported.

A travel advisory was received by the Dubai Airports from the Covid-19 Command and Control Centre to its partner, announcing that ‘effective from December 6, all passengers arriving (originating) from GCC countries are not required to get PCR test before arriving at DXB/DWC [Dubai International Airport/Al Maktoum International Airport].’

Meanwhile, these passengers arriving from GCC countries have still to undergo a PCR test on arrival.

This means passengers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman and exempted from the pre-flight Covid-19 test.

On the Emirates airline’s website, it says that the new travel rule is not applicable to passengers arriving through the Hatta border. Travelers passing through the land border must take a PCR test 96 hours from the date of the test before departure.
