The Dubai Marine Beach Resort Team has emerged as the overall champion at the prestigious Emirates International Salon Culinaire 2024, organized by the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG). The team showcased exceptional culinary skills, securing several top awards at the competition held at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
The team’s remarkable achievements included:
Gold Medal for a 5-course set menu
Gold Medal for 4 plates vegetarian
Silver Medal for live cooking
The Emirates International Salon Culinaire is a renowned series of practical and display-based culinary competitions, attracting professional chefs, pastry chefs, cooks, bakers, and culinary students from around the world. This year’s event, part of the Expo Culinaire exhibition, featured three days of intense, real-time cookery competitions, making it a major attraction for culinary enthusiasts and professionals.
The Emirates Culinary Guild, the association of professional chefs in the UAE, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing culinary arts in the country. Its goals include inspiring young chefs through training and competition, enhancing the UAE’s culinary prestige internationally, and encouraging UAE nationals to pursue careers in the hospitality industry.
The Expo Culinaire exhibition, which hosted the Emirates International Salon Culinaire, also featured the Alen Thong Golden Coffee Pot Challenge for international teams of young chefs. This event brought together teams from around the globe, making it the chef’s event of the year.
