Dubai Police swiftly came to the aid of a motorist who lost control of their vehicle due to a malfunctioning cruise control system. The driver contacted emergency services, reporting the issue while driving on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
Traffic patrols were dispatched promptly to the scene, where they secured the area and reassured the distressed driver. Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, acting assistant commandant for operations affairs, explained that one patrol positioned itself in front of the vehicle and gradually slowed it down while others ensured safety around the vehicle.
Al Mazrouei advised motorists to stay calm in such situations, offering tips on how to manage cruise control malfunctions, including shifting to neutral and contacting emergency services.
