Residents in Dubai who wish to inquire about missing documents visa applications may now do it via video calls, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) said.
On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, a pilot phase was launched.
Lieutenant-General Mohammed Al Marri, director-general of GDRFA-Dubai, said in an Arabic newspaper that residents would be able to enquire about the status of their applications to complete all paperwork and information needed through video calls.
The new system is not yet known if it's open to all visa categories.
The service may only be availed after having first applied for the visa. It cannot be used for inquiries, which need to be made through call centres. The report added that the service is on the case of any delay in the service or to submit missing documents.
