Dubai is set to enhance its coastline with the Al Mamzar Corniche Beach project, a sprawling 125,000-square-metre beachfront designed with exclusive facilities for women, night swimming areas, and smart technology integration. The project, estimated to cost Dh400 million, will be completed by the end of 2025.
The Dubai Municipality has awarded the second-phase contract, focusing on the Al Mamzar Corniche area. This phase will introduce a unique integration of running, walking, and cycling paths linking Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park, enhanced by green spaces and modern landscaping.
Other highlights include a 2,000-square-metre skateboarding zone, a 5,000-square-metre event area, and advanced features like AI-driven surveillance systems, drowning rescue technologies, smart luggage lockers, and crowd management tools.
The first phase, launched in June 2023, is nearly halfway complete. Spanning 275,000 square metres, it includes a 200-metre pedestrian bridge over the creek and a 300-metre night-swimming beach accessible for people of determination. A 5-kilometre walkway and dedicated tracks for cycling and running also form part of this innovative project.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency, highlighted the project’s alignment with Dubai's future vision, saying it will support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and reinforce the emirate’s global leadership across various sectors.
