After being recognized by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for their act of kindness, each of the four expatriates who saved a pregnant cat from falling to her death in Deira has reportedly received a handsome amount for saving the feline.
According to local reports, the four residents who saved the cat–Indian expat Nasser Mohammad, who works as a driver at Roads and Transport Authority (RTA); Atif Mehmood, a Pakistani salesman; Rashid Mohammed, an Indian grocery store owner, and Moroccan security guard Ashraf Bleinza–have received AED50,000 each.
Through his Twitter page, Shiekh Mohammad hailed them as ‘unsung heroes.
“Proud and happy to see such acts of kindness in our beautiful city. Whoever identifies these unsung heroes, please help us thank them,” he wrote.
