A modern public bus station has been inaugurated today. It can cater up to 15,000 passengers per day.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai inaugurated the new generation Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.
The new bus station has a total of six buildings. They are environmentally sustainable and meet the needs of People of Determination.
Its total area is 2,452 square metres and has office spaces, customer service areas, retail outlets, and restaurants. It has 50 parking slots for buses and 48 parking slots for cars.
Additionally, it has a stand for 34 taxis and 60 docking stations for bicycles.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will deploy 614 buses and open 23 bus routes and six temporary stops for serving Expo visitors.
