The Philippines secured a historic spot in the 2026 World Lacrosse Championship after remaining unbeaten in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women’s Lacrosse Championship at the Sunshine Coast Stadium in Queensland.
With an impressive 2-0 record, the Filipinas clinched their first-ever qualification to the global tournament and locked in a semifinals berth.
The team opened its campaign with a dominant 15-3 victory against China, powered by four goals each from Kalens Johnson and Steph Lazo. The momentum continued as they cruised to a 14-2 win over Hong Kong, joining Japan, Chinese Taipei, and Australia as the first teams to qualify for next year’s world championship in Japan.
The Filipinas will face host team Australia on Wednesday to wrap up the pool stage before heading to the semifinals on Friday.
