Filipino Social Club-Dubai Celebrates Five Years of Community Service



The Filipino Social Club-Dubai marked its fifth anniversary of dedicated service to the Filipino community in Dubai and the northern emirates on June 25, 2025. The celebration was held at Voco Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, with a gathering of members, officials, and distinguished guests.


In a heartfelt social media post, the Filipino Social Club (FilSoC) shared their joy and pride in commemorating this significant milestone. The post highlighted the presence of former founding board members, officials from the Philippine Consulate, the Chairman of the Philippine Business Council, and the current Board of Directors.



“𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀,” the post read.


Attendees included prominent figures such as Hon. Consul General Marford Angeles, Hon. Vice Consul Aleah Marie Gica, Hon. Vice Consul Paola Bora, Hon. Vice Consul Jim Jimeno, and Hon. Labatt Atty. John Rio Bautista. Also present were Philippine Business Council Chairman Edwin Duria and Director of Membership Mariben Christine Tan Eustaquio, alongside FilSoC founding members Cesar Mora, Orandantes Delizo, Olympia Pineda, Wafa Qasimieh, and Marilyn Baguno.



The event underscored the importance of maintaining harmonious relationships within the community, which is the foundation of collective strength and success. The discussions emphasized respect, unity, and the crucial role of volunteerism in achieving their goals.

Five years ago, the Community Development Authority (CDA) of the Dubai Government issued a license to FilSoC, allowing it to operate for the Filipino community. This milestone was marked by Dr. Omar AbdulAziz Al Muthanna, CEO of the Regulatory and Licensing Sector of CDA, handing over the license to FilSoC’s founding members, led by its president, Ericson P. Reyes.


The Filipino Social Club-Dubai continues to thrive, fostering a strong, united, and vibrant Filipino community in Dubai and the northern emirates.
