Global Village, the region’s top family destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, officially opened its 29th season last night with a spectacular display of lights and festivities. The grand opening featured dazzling light beams illuminating the iconic Gate of the World, along with a shower of golden confetti and streamers, welcoming thousands of guests.
The excitement continued as the Global Village parade, led by the energetic AAINJAA group, set the stage with their rhythmic drumming, captivating the audience with vibrant beats and infectious energy. The parade paved the way for this season’s theme, “A More Wonderful World.”
Guests were also treated to authentic Emirati cultural performances, including the traditional "Laiwa" and "Harbiya" dances, which highlighted the UAE’s rich heritage. These performances took place at the Cultural Gate and Gate of the World, adding to the festive atmosphere.
As the evening progressed, a stunning laser and fire show at Dragon Lake wowed the audience, setting the tone for what promises to be an extraordinary season ahead.
This season, Global Village features 30 pavilions, including three new additions – Iraq, Jordan, and Sri Lanka and Bangladesh – showcasing global culture. Visitors can enjoy over 250 dining options, more than 200 rides, games, and attractions, and experience over 40,000 entertainment shows and performances across the Main Stage, Kids' Theatre, and various roaming acts.
Season 29 of Global Village promises to deliver unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages, further solidifying its reputation as the region’s leading entertainment and cultural destination. Doors open daily from 4:00 PM.
