Residents can earn up to AED 300 per kilogram lost as the RAK Biggest Weight Loss Challenge (RBWLC) 2025 returns for its fifth edition. Running from February 21 to May 22, the 12-week challenge offers cash prizes, staycations, gym memberships, and lifestyle vouchers to participants.
In the physical category, top male and female winners will receive AED 300, AED 200, or AED 100 per kilogram lost. The virtual category offers rewards such as staycations, health packages, dining vouchers, and gym memberships. A new family category allows groups of at least three members to compete for lifestyle vouchers, while corporate and school challenges will recognize the best-performing teams based on average weight loss and BMI reductions.
Last year, more than 18,000 participants joined the challenge, with AED 40,000 in cash prizes awarded. A 31-year-old expat who lost 30kg walked away with AED 9,000.
Registration is free. Participants in the physical category must weigh in at RAK Hospital, while virtual participants can complete their weigh-ins at local clinics.
