The UAE amnesty program for holders of residence and tourist visas that expired before March 1 will only have until November 17 to leave the country without accumulating fines.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) on August 17 announced the extension of the grace period for another three months along with fine exemptions.
Maj. General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports of ICA said that the program applies to all violators whose visas expired before March 1.
This also covers all visit visas, tourist visas, and residence visa violators, as well as business contract violators and those who fled from their sponsors.
Maj. Gen. Al Rashidi confirmed that they will be banned to re-enter the country if they wish to return.
