Dubai Police have beefed up security as the weather improves and visitors flock together in the Hatta area.
In collaboration with Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Civil Defence, and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, the Dubai Police have stepped up the level of readiness to deal with unforeseen incidents in the mountainous areas and flooded valleys at Hatta during the winter season.
The authorities have also increased the number of patrols in the areas near the dams.
"We are always ready to deal with emergencies 24 hours a day. Residents are advised to stay away from flooded areas when the weather is unstable," Col. Mubarak Al Ketbi, director of Hatta Police Station, was quoted as saying by Gulf News.
The specially equipped cars have the latest smart devices and modern technologies to communicate with the command and control centre.
