President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will head to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, November 26, for a one-day working visit, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Marcos is set to meet UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi to discuss areas of cooperation aimed at enhancing ties between the two nations. The Palace expressed optimism about the visit, hoping it would lead to agreements that strengthen mutual interests and shared values.
The President will also take the opportunity to express gratitude to the UAE for fostering an environment where Filipino talent thrives.
Despite traveling with a minimal delegation, the PCO emphasized that the visit’s impact would be significant, paving the way for stronger Philippine-UAE relations.
Marcos will return to Manila immediately after the trip to oversee recovery efforts in regions affected by recent typhoons and storms, asking for understanding from the Filipino community in the UAE regarding his limited time during the visit.
