Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the renaming of Mashreq Metro Station to InsuranceMarket Metro Station. This change is part of a 10-year agreement with InsuranceMarket.ae and is effective on the Red Line, between Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Internet City stations, located on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The RTA has updated outdoor signage and will soon modify smart and electronic systems, including audio announcements, with a transition period from September to November. Commuters are advised to take note of the new station name.
RTA’s Rail Agency CEO, Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, highlighted the renaming as part of a successful public-private partnership, enhancing economic growth and offering advertising opportunities for businesses in Dubai. InsuranceMarket.ae’s CEO, Avinash Babur, expressed pride in this milestone for his company.
Since 2009, Dubai Metro has offered naming rights to companies, with previous rebranding including Onpassive, Sobha Realty, Max Fashion, and Centrepoint.
