As Christmas and New Year approach, two of the most celebrated occasions by non-Muslims, UAE authorities have reminded residents to follow strict Covid-19 protocols, and celebrations should be held virtually.
Private gatherings on UAE National Day, Christmas, and New Year are prohibited this year.
“No gatherings are allowed for celebrations. No food or gifts can be exchanged. People can take part in the celebration virtually,” a UAE government official was quoted as saying by Khaleej Times.
Meanwhile, concerts that last more than three to four hours cannot be held in the country without prior approval.
