Philippine Airlines Cancels Six More Dubai To Manila Flights In May 2021

Six more flights between Dubai and Manila operated by the Philippine Airlines for the month of May have been canceled, a travel manager told The Global Filipino Magazine.

Geoffrey Salatan, a travel manager in Dubai, sent a private message to the magazine, confirming that the following May 2021 flights via PR658/659 will be canceled: May 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 27.

The airline has been canceling flights since late March due to arrival limitations for inbound passengers imposed by the government authorities to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Salatan, on the other hand, advised passengers to always monitor their upcoming flights from time to time due to sudden changes and cancelations.

“Apparently, the travel situation to Philippines nowadays is more difficult and much challenging than last year. As much as travel agents would like to rebook affected passengers on earlier or desired dates, flights are extremely fully booked, or else, air fares are very high. Full refund from the airline is an option, otherwise simply postpone the trip for the time being as much as possible,” he added.

Meanwhile, PAL’s flights PR658/659 on April 28, 2021, are operational.

Passengers whose flights have been affected by the ongoing arrival limitations are urged to avail of the following options:

1. Convert your ticket to a travel voucher with 10% bonus and valid for up to 2 years, which must be requested on or before June 30, 2021.

2. Avail of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021. If you will be completing your travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge.

3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

You may request any of the options via the myPAL Request Hub at https://mypal.vip/url/RequestHub.
