Southville, The First Filipino College In UAE, Set To Open Next Year

The very first Filipino college in the UAE is all set to welcome college students in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Southville International School and Colleges-RAK campus aims to cater to the higher education needs of expatriate children in the host country.

Spearheaded by Rommel Sergio, a Presidential Awardee and Dakilang Bayani Awardee, the school will initially offer courses in psychology, accountancy, marketing management, financial management, entrepreneurship and human resources, and a master’s course in business administration.

“I was a dropout. I had to source my way out; get a scholarship. I found out education is really vital to our survival. Now, I am running for my third Ph.D. and also supporting scholars in my hometown,” Serio told Expatmedia.net.

The cost per semester will be AED550 per unit, with each subject generally having three units.

Meanwhile, payments can be done in installments, with a 40 percent initial payment during enrolment.
