Two employees at a Covid-19 screening centre in the country have been arrested for altering 'several' test results.
According to the official spokesperson for the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Prosecution, the employees are found to be forging test results for a fee.
The duo altered the images of the negative test results of patients. The altered results were used to enter Abu Dhabi.
The suspects' offenses are punishable by temporary imprisonment and a fine of AED150,000 up to AED750,000.
"Legal action shall be taken against anyone who fails to abide by the laws, procedures and precautionary measures set to curb the spread of Covid-19," the spokesperson told WAM.
