UAE's Ministy of Health and Prevention revealed that they have reached a total of 539,195 coronavirus tests across the UAE until yesterday. "These tests have been conducted in advanced screening centres and the figure underscores the government commitment to fight the novel coronavirus and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of the community," Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, said in an Emirates 24/7 report. Currently, the total number of coronavirus cases in the UAE stand at 2,659. To date, the number of recoveries is 239. "The UAE will continue to take measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19. The health sector's top priority has been to conduct as many tests as possible which resulted in early detection of infected cases, tracing contacts and isolating them," Al Owais added.
