As UAE announced a series of new labor laws to protect employees, the latest law has recently been introduced, setting a minimum wage for private sector employees.
According to local news, this will take effect from February 2, 2022.
“Article 27 of the Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 regulating labour relations will set a minimum wage to be determined and announced by the cabinet following a proposal by the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation in collaboration with the relevant authorities,” Khaleej Times reported.
