The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has introduced a new symbol for the country's national currency as part of its Digital Dirham programme. Inspired by the English letter "D" for Dirham, the design includes two horizontal lines symbolizing financial stability, and draws elements from the UAE flag to highlight national pride.
A unique version for the Digital Dirham was also revealed, featuring a circular design around the main symbol in the flag’s colors. This new identity reflects the currency’s growing global presence and underscores the UAE’s commitment to building an innovative financial system with international relevance.
