The government of UAE has recently amended its law that concerns divorced, married, and unmarried couples.
Citing the new rule, unmarried couples in the country will now be permitted to stay together in one roof legally.
The new move is part of the country's Islamic personal laws and an effort to improve the living standards of the residents in the UAE.
Meanwhile, the new law amended divorce rules, women's rights, and alcohol consumption as well.
Additionally, driving alcohol is no longer an offense in the country; anyone who drinks, possess alcohol; and sells alcoholic beverages in authorized areas without an alcoholic license will no longer face penalties.
However, individuals must still be over the age of 21 to purchase or consume alcohol.
