As an effort to join hands in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in the city of Hanoi in Vietnam, a number of dispensers with free face masks have been installed in public areas.
Vietnam has only 1,029 Covid-19 cases since the onset of the pandemic. Of the total number, 592 of them have already survived the virus. The country has also reported 27 deaths only.
In a series of photos shared on Twitter, residents queue for masks. To avail of the free face masks, they just need to press a button on the dispenser.
Each resident is entitled to up to three face masks due to a large number of people in need of it.
The initiative was launched by Hoang Tuan Anh, a local resident of Hanoi.
